Black Hills Fire Advisory Board
The objective and purpose of the Black Hills Fire Advisory Board (BHFAB) shall be:
  • To review the Forest Fire Suppression Agreement and Addendums between the South Dakota Wildland Fire Division and the cooperative fire departments and make suggested changes and/or improvements to this agreement.
  • To develop guidelines and procedures for coordination of Agency fire management and fire suppression needs within the state. To develop and establish standardized rates for all contracted fire suppression equipment and personnel within South Dakota and present the BHFAB recommendations to the South Dakota Interagency Fire Council.
  • To exchange ideas concerning wildland and other fire-related activities.
